Just a few things I picked up today. I was supposed to be doing some Christmas shopping but I picked up one of those Westfield gift ideas magazines and it was all over. All I saw was things I might like……. it never hurts to buy a few sneaky presents for myself, right?

I just love a pretty summer fragrance, you may remember my love of Chloe, well now I have an equally fabulous perfume I will be rocking this summer, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. There is something so delicious about applying your favorite perfume before leaving the house for some summer cocktails and Daisy So Fresh has been my staple go to perfume for such an occassion for a few weeks now.

If you were a fan of the original Daisy fragrance then you will just love So Fresh, it is kind of like original Daisy’s fun care free twin sister. So Fresh is a bright, floral, fun and fruity fragrance that lingers on the skin for hours and catches you lots of compliments.

With such beautiful rich ingredients I can guarantee you will want to spray this wonder everyday, maybe even bath in it (I wish I could do that sometimes, well, they did say Marilyn did it).

Just in case you would like a deeper look into what makes Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh amazing;

Top Notes: Ruby red grapefruit,  green leaves, raspberry, and pear.

Heart Notes:  Violet, wild rose, apple blossom, lychee (yummmoooo) and jasmine petals.

Base Note:  Musk, cedarwood and plum.

What I adore about this fragrance is the beautiful bottle! It is similar to the original but has a slightly slimmer body and the flowers on the lid are pink, yellow and white, opposed to black and white. It is so girly and fun.  I have to admit the bottle was the first thing that drew me to So Fresh, I am such a sucker for pretty packaging!

We get asked this everytime we have a job. It is a very important part of maintaining your brushes and most of all, it will keep your makeup looking how you want it too. Clean your makeup brushes people!

At makeup school we were taught to clean our brushes after every person, do you know how many nasty things you can pass on from person to person? When your doing face after face the best way to clean them is to use a brush cleaner that has alcohol in it. This will remove almost all the product but more importantly it will kill any bugs that you may have come across.

So your brushes (depending how many times you use them) should be cleaned at least once a week. We clean our brushes properly after each job to keep them in tip top condition and so we don’t pass on any yuckies to anyone else. How do you do it? I hear you ask.

I found this new way to clean brushes. We have always used shampoo and brush cleaner, but this method, I find, also works a treat. I found it on You Tube and its by Makeup Geek. This  is an awesome site for all your how-to’s, tips and trick and products.

So make sure you keep your brushes healthy and hygienic, your makeup and your face will love you for it!

Okay so I know we are not yet over Christmas but I am so excited for Valentines Day. All the flowers and love in the air, you cant help but fall in love. And I tell you what I have fallen in love with…Orly Passionfruit Polish. A hot neon pink/orange/coral colour of awesomeness and just the perfect addition to any Valentines Day outfit.

Passionfruit is one of four polishes that make up the new Orly I Heart Nail range which also includes;

I applied a base coat, three coats of colour and then a top coat. I have been wearing Passionfruit for the past 3 days and have not yet had any chipping! I loved the end result of this polish, although I did find that the colour does look slightly different on your fingers then it does in the bottle. Still a very cute colour nevertheless.

In the gloomy weather Sydney has been experiencing of late it is kind of nice having a bright pick me up colour on my fingers. It makes me smile every time I look at it, that’s got to be worth something, right?

Let me hear a big gigantic holla if you suffer from dry fizzy hair! Trust me peeps, I hear your pain. I have been suffering from frizzy hair for as long as I can remember, on more than one occasion I think it has actually made me cry (sob, sob).

Now, my crying days are over thanks to my man David Babaii new Miracle Oil Hair Elixer! Goodbye to my frizz, goodbye to my dryness, a stick it where the sun don’t shine to my tears and a big hello to my soft frizz free golden locks.

Oh, life has never been better. This could not have come at the more perfect time with party season just around the corner my tresses were in need of a big pick me up. Miracle oil also does not use any harmful chemicals or contain any toxins, how rad is that?

Once my hair is washed and towel dried  I work a few drops through making sure I don’t apply the oil near my roots or on my fringe (I made that mistake and I ended up having to re-wash my hair, not happy). I then blow dry and style my hair in the usual way. Since using Miracle Oil all my fly aways have disappeared, my hair is easier to manage and it seems to have become brighter, hey, I am not complaining. I have even had a few compliments about how healthy my hair is looking!
